Help deciding
Hello, I recently made a post about the PAM 1312 and 312 as potential first Panerai watches and after some more searching and just general thought, I am also now considering the PAM111. Someone also suggested the 510 with the in-house movement and 8 day power reserve but as nit picky as this may sound, I like the PAM111 with nothing written below Panerai on the dial but I do like the idea of 8 day power reserve. Without a power reserve like that, how long does a PAM111 go on a full wind? Does it have to be wound every day? Which would be the best first panerai?
Does anyone have a photo of the PAM111 on the ponte vecchio strap? Would love to see photos of PAM111 on different straps if any of you have photos please post them up. Cheers and thanks for the feedback.

For me, the 111 without hesitation, as I like the Bettarini case. Today, if I were in the market for one, I would hunt for a G series for the prettier movement.
While the 1312 is thinner, in a good way, compared to the 312, I just can't get past the blue seconds hand. YMMV. |

For a first the 111 is the one I would choose. The 1950 case of the 312/1312 is nice but wear different than the 111. Go try them on and see. Also, do not pay retail as you will get crushed when you sell or trade. Check the market and see where you should be. Good luck.

I picked 111 by elimination. :)
I am just not a fan on how 312 / 1312 sit on the wrist. 111 being a manual wind is a plus. Also look at 510, its an updated 111. it has a different feel than 111 even though they look very similar.

The 111 will have 50-70 hour power reserve. It is a classic, but IMO you must buy complete with box and papers and from a reputable dealer as they’re are very good fakes of this model.
Yes the 5XX series will have a more expensive service fee, but the fake version is. It quote as good and it has an 8 day power reserve... which makes it more unique compared to a standard ordinary watch . Frankly I would save up for a pre owned 233 of you are going for a single panerai model Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
