Do you have air-conditioning in your car or home?

Freezing here.

I'm miserable and cold and hungry.

And tired and broke.

And fat and ugly.

That's it, I'm moving to New Zealand!

As Gerry, Kai and Eddie said, it was the hottest day in history here last Saturday 47.6 degrees C.
Even the koalas needed cooling down :

That is freaky...look at the sentience and self awareness in his eyes.

I was opposed to having A/C in my house in MN, considering how long it's cold here. I had put ceiling fans in each bedroom, which was tremendously helpful during warm periods. For the first 3 summers, we did without A/C, but after a long-hot spell in July 2006 with high humidity/heat index (100F with 70F dewpoint), I got two window units for our upstairs bedroom. The following year, I got a large unit for downstairs, and now we keep it a comfortable 74-78 inside when it gets really warm. I wouldn't mind it, but for the fact that it doesn't cool down at night like it did in Northern California.

The summer power bill isn't bad at all, about $150 USD. It's the winter power bills at over $400 USD that are a killer! And we keep the house cool so it's not even higher (64F when we're up and around, 56F at night and when we're gone!). Now you know why I'm wearing warm clothes all winter when you see me on Skype!

Hope u will not get any wild fires like California or Melbourne

And make sure there's no Singapore government owned power lines or plants nearby....The devastating huge Melbourne fire 2 weeks ago could be cause by poorly maintained power lines that fell onto a dried bush as caught fire.
Several residents in Australia have already file a suit against Singapore Power SP Austnet.
