Hi, I just about to buy a new watch and I come down to this 2 Royal Oak ceramic 44mm pretty much the same watch just different colours inside, what are you thoughts about which one looks better.

I personally like the pop of the gold markers and hands on the CE.

Either way, I don't think you can go wrong and this is definitely a decision of personal preference.

I like the rose gold hands better. Can't go wrong with AP CE!

I actually prefer the anthracite dial CE version out of the CE options that there has been. More versatile for straps IMO and a bit less black.
One other point, the non gold indices / lower pic version is much older I believe as it as the original/first series configuration and I believe may not have the vertically lined bezel. So you may want to check that as well it's age as it may be due for a service, so hopefully you would get a lower price for that.

Definitely the all black. Its a very short run I believe so its relatively rare.

They are both baller watches that don't scream out look at me but will certainly catch the eye of enthusiasts. No bad choice there!

For normal production I like anthracite, gold/blue hands, white on blue strap then all black. The all black is too close to the FC for me. LE for the AP golf team is still the best.

Yes, make sure you get the vertical brushed bezel if you are going for an older version, I like most the Anthracite dial.

Of the two, I prefer the current model with gold & blue hands; as Singe notes above, the dial with the red hands is virtually identical to the Forged Carbon as an "all black" watch. It was also the first all ceramic 44 and has the original matte bezel vs. the current vertical brushed version; which I much prefer.

Of the ceramic models, I prefer the "old" Anthracite dial, enough that I chose it over the current gold/blue when both models were available from DavidSW.

At the end of the day, pick the one that makes you smile every time you look at it.

Last anthracite I saw for sale was going for like $4-5k less than the newest gold/blue hand one.

This would be my choice

I like the rose gold hands better. Can't go wrong in either case. Let us know which way you go.

Yep. When I got anthracite from David (I think in March?), it was NOS & ~3k less than the current gold/blue model. Although the price wasn't a factor, I wasn't upset to pay less for the one I preferred.

Normal production vs a very short one. No brainer - all black.

I sort of like the older one if you can find it with the modern brush pattern.

26405.CE.02 With Blue. I picked it up a year ago, and every time someone tries on my watch, they compliment the blue accents
