Advice Needed
Hi everyone
I have the possibility to order an extra rose gold bracelet to complete the look of my 15400OR on rubber strap. Sticker price €19886 (VAT included). For €19900 I can get a BNIB 15500ST (grey or black). What would you do for the almost same price? - Rose gold bracelet - 15500ST |

NONE - get the 15407 ST. Looking at your incomings, I think it's time.

Definitely the 15500st. The bracelet was cheaper to buy from the start, so enjoy the strap and move on to another piece with the money. Just remember, buy only what you love, even if it is a little harder to get, and you will always be happy in the long run.

20k for a bracelet? That's crazy. It's AP and all that but come'on! Get a new watch. Even the daytona grey (and I would never pay grey prices) is a better deal. Even better keep what you have and spend 20k on some trips in the tropics with/ without the family. The memories made are worth way more than a bracelet..

This is a no brainer, get the watch.
If you spend $20K on a bracelet when you could have had a new watch... |

The bracelet is pricey but I'd get it, think the bracelet on the RO makes all the difference, esp in gold.

I cannot really fault a 15400or....BUT....I will tell you that I just recently HAD the same 15400or. Great piece, but it only lasted a few months with me as I believe that the RO bracelet is the best in the business and that piece in particular is on a different level when when its on a bracelet.
For me the ROO, can go either way (bracelet or strap) but the ROO is bracelet only. You can now have both options with the 15500 and by keeping your 15400or and I may be tempted to just have both, but would simply not wear the 15400or as much. Let us know what you decide. |

The or bracelet is fantastic, but I get much more wear out of my 15400st than my 15400or (both in bracelet), so I’d say go for the ST

Thx for all your comments guys, please keep them coming. The thing is I have the 264320ST Silver, 15500ST Blue, the wife has the 15400ST Silver (even if she never lets me wear that, lol). Then I have the 15202ST on order (soon). The 15407 is in my mind, for the next birthday (maybe) if I don’t go to the 5711 route. Hence why I was thinking to make the 15400OR in a full gold watch and have the all RO line in bracelet. I know it’s not cheap at all and if I just think about dropping 20k in a bracelet I don’t sleep for 2 days, lol...

The other option could be keep the watch as is for now then trade it with a 15500OR in bracelet someday

The obvious choice for most would be the watch. The 15400or is just so damn cool on rubber. It doesn’t need the bracelet.
But please go with your gut feeling. If your dreaming about the full gold 15400 then you’ll regret not doing it. No right answer. |

The Royal Oak is stunning on a bracelet and I really don’t like the look of it on rubber. The problem with buying a gold bracelet now is that apart from being a huge and disproportionate expense the gold is 18 carat, as it’s 75% pure gold the other alloys that it’s mixed with tarnish slightly over time so there is a possibility that you would spend 20k and still be dissatisfied with the watch. If I was in your position I’d sell the watch and use those funds + the 20k to think afresh.

Get the 15500ST and then sell your 15400
