AP total spend / 15407

Hey guys question here for the AP vets - as some you know, I’m trying to get an allocation for a 15407 in 2020. In the past year, I’ve picked up an 1159 QP, Bucci RO, ROO Ghost and ROC. In a perfect world I would’ve bought everything from one boutique - problem is that I’ve had to spread the love due to availability and bought the pieces across two boutiques and one AD.

When it comes to allocating a 15407 and spend considered, does AP look at total global spend (all watches are under my profile) or is it more boutique specific spend? I’m trying to figure out (i) odds of an allocation in 2020 and who best to approach and (ii) is it okay to continue my acquisition approach or really drill down on one boutique. Many thanks for the thoughts.

I would focus on getting the attention of the manager of one singular boutique. Pick one and stick with it. At this point I would think >200k single boutique spend still might not get a 15407 in 2021, much less 2020.

I would try with an AP owned boutique and not a partner boutique like the Westime ones. LA boutique told me multiple times that previous purchases from ADs or other boutiques doesn't matter and I would have to start my purchase relationship with them to get on any list.

Sadly, going the AD route, you'll need all of your purchases and then some art one location just to be considered. If you're not planning on any $200k + concepts or the equivalent, you're most likely going to get the runaround or just told the list if full. That said, amazing piece and still my favorite.

AP boutiques don’t consider any of your prior purchases at ADs, which is BS.

If you are trying to buy a lot of stock to then get a hard to come by piece, you need to buy everything from one place brother. I think you made a mistake

Ditto.

I've been told multiples times both by ADs and boutiques, stick to one. Also, they will look very positively at a 11:59 purchase, so go that route.

Well, the boutique here in NYC said that I'd need to buy a toubillon to be brought close to the front of the line. That's why this watch game is such a turn off!!!

If you don't mind me asking, who at the boutique told you that? Do you have any previous history with this boutique?
