Can you spend too much time with your new Rolex?

Ever since I picked up my new BLNR I t’s stayed on my wrist non-stop. I’ve only taken it off twice for about an hour each and that was to workout. Admittedly, it’s been less than a week since I bought it but am I the only one that wants to spend that much quality time with their new best friend? A little child-like I know but ...

Nothing wrong with enjoying a new purchase until the novelty wears off. I made the “mistake” of purchasing another watch too soon after a new pickup. Enjoy your new watch friend, but don’t forget the others in the collection

I’ve had my Explorer II for over 2 weeks now and I’ve only taken it off when taking a shower. It’s just that comfortable and great looking time piece. Congrats on the BLNR.

Buying a new watch is great

But it never makes me forget the others

It’s a journey not a destination

Have worn my BLNR almost exclusively since purchasing it. It's my 2nd favorite watch with my 16550 Explorer II being the favorite.

Congratulations on your new watch, and its a great pity today that many of today's so called Rolex wearers did not have the same sentiment as yourself. As today many so called Rolex watch wearers just think of nothing more than Rolex as £££££$$$$$ instead of owning and wearing one of the finest mechanical watches on this planet, wear your watch with pleasure and in good health for decades to come..

It’s funny; my lineup is a list of my all time favorites. My honeymoon never ends lol. I absolutely, 100% love every second I strap one on to the wrist. I’m in Boston for the week w the platona and I’m in heaven.

three weeks into pepsi ownership and i’ve worn one other watch once.

honeymoon phase for real. plus i love this watch; it’s a GMT and it’s got a shiny pretty bezel that is SO different from my blnr.

enjoy!!

I had same question—sleeping with them is where I bail out. Love that my Sub and DJ 41 are shower proof, allowing honeymoon-period wear during waking hours.

As for guilt, yes, my (unexpected) passion for my new DJ left me feeling guilty about my Sub, a moment of pang each morning as the DJ won out again.

That's a lovely watch you have! Enjoy it! Wear it for as much/little as you want. But I know what you mean...when I bought my Sub new in 1996 I couldn't stop wearing it or looking at it. For years now I just wear it all day and take it off when I go to bed.

5 months into my CHNR ownership, and I find this to be a huge "problem"...my poor Speedy barely gets any wrist time at all anymore.

Hell no. During the work week I generally only take mine off to shower. I let it rest on the weekends and pull from the watch box on those days.

I still don't get how people can sleep with a watch on. I love watches, but they are not comfortable after a few hours of wear.
