This comment surprises me — in my experience the customer experience with the VC boutique has been phenomenal. What have you experienced, out of curiosity?

Agreed, outside of Czapek, I've had the best experience with VC as it pertains to customer service/experience. The worst experience by far to me has been AP but naturally everyone's experiences are unique.

Well just my 2 cents, I turned down a dual time white dial couple weeks ago. No spending history with this boutique, from memory I registered my interest around 6-8 months ago

I do like this watch but having bought 2 pieces since visiting this boutique I had to decline

I'm sad.. I returned my 12mth old Gen 3 overseas DT to the boutique as it was losing time excessively (hours at a time - I had to wind it each morning). 1 week to review and quoted 7 weeks for a full service. The time quoted is quite attractive, just the timing sucks it's over the holidays.

Watch was never dropped or received any hits etc, so not to sure why/what happened.

got a call from the boutique today, said they have my grail. Reserved for someone else but willing to sell to me, Overseas Perpetual Calendar in Rose Gold silver dial.

should I pull the trigger?

If you can reasonably afford it, go for it! That's an incredible watch.

If it’s your grail and you can afford it, why are you asking?!?!

Perhaps he is thinking to buy it on the secondary market and save thousands?

If that's the case the debate then is, is it worth it to spend a bit more for the boutique experience and relationship and future offerings, etc., etc.

I can say the service I get from the boutique is phenomenal...I'm sure even if you bought used they'd still be there for you tho

Is this true? Is the rose gold perpetual calendar Overseas cheaper in the greys?

Tempted to buy a 4500v at current grey pricing. I just can’t seem to get over how big they wear.

Incoming and earlier than expected

I’ve wanting this Overseas Dual Time for a while, but the hype has made it impossible or costly to get it. As the watch market (and everything else) comes down, it seems that demand for the Overseas is also coming down.

I didn’t expect this incoming until sometime in 2023, but my AD was able to allocate me one with this earlier incoming surprise. It’s everything I had expected. Super excited.

With the red 2nd time zone hands, I actually prefer this black dial over the blue for this dual time model. The lacquer dial has a different sunburst and depth to it when comparing to other black dial watches, and my pictures are not capturing it well.

While some people think the Overseas is too big with a very wide lug to lug, it really depends. I think it fits my small wrist quite well.

Enjoy the pics
