I totally understand you. But honestly, with How things been going for the last couple of years… I just care about getting my watch brand new from the boutique and paying retail for it. I think I can live without that anniversary rotor lol
It’s still a piece of art and history on your wrist, regardless which rotor you have (which will probably just effect future value). So there’s that lol

Both boutiques are abroad and I need to get on a plane to visit them. So it has been mostly via phone. One of the boutiques I visited twice and they got me the Code.
Also they both told me that allocations have already been done and approved by Corporate.
And one of them mentioned that the founding family wants to offer these pieces to relatively newer clientele.

Do you hear similar stories in your part of the world regarding the allocations?

I’m in the states and got the same exact response. Largely pre allocated but SA will try.

A bit bummed but I got a good allocation last year so can’t have it all I suppose

Well they now have 2 AP Houses in Hong Kong and the relationship building is overall “easier” if you are just around the corner. But yes absolutely all the new releases will be under strict and small allocation…still way more demand than supply here as well, so some will be disappointed!

Assuming you didn’t have jumbo PT already, do you think jumbo PT non 50th rotor is better in the collection or SS jumbo with 50th rotor???

Uh…that is a tough one, depends on what you already have in your collection! I really believe everyone needs a jumbo ST petite tapisserie dial in his/her collection.

That said the PT is absolutely divine in terms of heft/feel overall presence and esthetics plus that dial is just a beauty and plays with the light.

Also depends if you are looking at 2121 movement or the new 7121.

The anniversary rotor is a nice touch to celebrate a unique moment in the history of the RO and one that we can witness “live”.

Interesting. In these shots, I like the blue SS ROC better than the green. Need to see them IRL.

If there was any question… it now looks like the “sans AP” is the new design language.

Also, does anyone know the status of the 15500? Seen a lot of conflicting info

There have been a couple posters who said that the 15500 is discontinued. But there’s different ref numbers floating around and nothing concrete. It seems odd it would be discontinued so quickly with such a short production run. I really hope the run isn’t over.

I had the opportunity to be invited for viewing of pieces. the 16202 looks stunning with the 50th rotor. Personally feel the green is not for me but I understand it will be one of the hottest pieces in this line up.

Did they have the gold chrono with all blue dial? I'm trying to see how that blue dial is different from the blue dial with gold sub dials.

Yes sir the blue is of another lighter shade, very very slight difference to the naked eyes.

However, imo 26239OR looks aesthetically nicer due to the contras "rose gold" circles while the new 26240OR is all blue which is kinda dull.

I am a sucker for the jumbos and these perfect dimensions all three of them are absolutely stunning…if I had to do a top 3 :

1. 16202ST
2. 16202BA
3. 16202OR

Thanks for the photos! Is the image of the last one dial black or green?

It’s the most “ungreen” green dial I have ever seen…but yes it’s green. The green dial shows better with the rose gold case.
