Yep I got the 116622 as my first Rolex. Just sold a Breitling and some other "starter" watches and am waiting for my BLNR to arrive sometime in March. After that I will be looking for a vintage Sub

This is likely my exact path as well. On step 1 of 3.

I find this watch very difficult to photograph (although I just use my phone camera) ... it is so much better in person.

I don'tknow if you can outdo that shot anyways, lots of great luster there. Maybe try something like pearls or bone china next to it. You know, a soft white thing to accent the SS and platinum. I'm going to take a few of mine in Turks & Caicos in May with the sapphire blue waters in the background. It's what I think about everytime I see the dial at least.

Awesome pic! Although it's usually the blue dial that pops, in this case that bezel is really standing out and bold. Looks great

A very cool looking watch! Love mine and will be a keeper, however, the YM2 is what the YM1 should have been!

Sub 18/ss for

Gave my son my original 2001 Submariner 18kt/SS that did duty thru many days of Vice,Narcotics and gangs OOOh and those dull moments of many snorkeling excursions in Hawaii and the Caribe. Now I updated to a 18kt Z serial YachtmasterName: jc1.jpg

Interesting nevertheless.
I owned an F serial one several years ago and recently purchased a V serial with the rehaut engraving and I have noticed the dial is not as sparkly but for me the watch looks better as a result, the older 'sparkly' dial always reminded me - in a negative way of a Tag Heuer I used to own with the same sort of dial, I actually much prefer the later set up.

My favourite daily wearer, I bought it in Amsterdam a few years ago and did not forget the Mrs. Just a month ago I fitted a black/red date wheel, new clasp and the older type dial. Love it even more.

Very nice. You don't see too many of the YG Yacht-Masters. Too bad, a really nice watch.

Love the blue dial on your Son's Rolesium Yacht-Master. Truly stunning dial.

Here's a shot of my new (to me) 16623. This is not my photo, it was taken by the seller OCROLEXGUY. It's really a wonderful shot that really brings out the mother of pearl, sapphire, and diamond dial. Its a great watch. Aloha, Tim

Looks great on her. Is that a 40mm one? I am trying to get a 29mm YM for my wife to match my 40mm, but she is not really into watches. She prefers jewellery instead.

Yep...40mm. She loves it...the platinum really looks great in the sun. She has a smaller Chanel J12 so she wanted to go bigger with this one. She tried on my blnr and Daytona to get comfortable with the size and she was sold.
