Just received this rather wonderful 6810-0010 from Japan - an impossibly thin Daini dress watch from 1974. Despite its diminutive 31mm size, it has real presence due to the wide hips, and the monocoque case is exquisite. At 1.98mm thick, this movement was used into the 2000s in various Credor models.

Very cool.. and it looks to wear larger than 31mm for the reasons you stated.

Thanks! I'm really quite taken with this one, despite its on-paper shortcomings...

A very low serial numbered, true transitional, Resist/Proof 6105-8000 from July 1970.

Yeah this is a time capsule example I’m fortunate to have acquired. Lume glows for 50 seconds or so. I purchased it from the original owner’s daughter after he passed. I had it serviced and the crown rebuilt where water usually leaked in. I tested it at work and passed 3 bar pressure test. Didn’t want to go higher.

3 bar is still pretty good for a vintage imo.

Seiko 7T59 - my first "real watch" bought for me by my then girlfriend. Figure this should be "vintage" by now.

Still works, still have original box, papers, service receipts and slip for it's journey to Japan (about 10 years ago) where it was completely serviced for just shipping cost, and the leather pouch.

This lived on my wrist for 20 years.

Seiko 7T59 - World's First 1/100 tachometer watch.

Very interesting case design. Reminds me of omega with the lugs and partial recessed crown. I like it.

Just got my 46999 Seiko Liner Chronometer back from service. The rarest of the 1963 Seiko Chronometers and only produced for one year, it's slimmer than its cousins the 43999 Grand Seiko, and the 49999 King Seiko, and is also the only model with an applied logo in a really quite fetching and dramatic art deco script.
