Well, ya know... sometimes a bit more girth is better.
Height of the MAD1 is fine, even kinda appropriate. But yeah, imho a 'beefier' timepiece strap greatly helps to visually balance the head's thicc'ness.

Im excited for my green clover MAD1 too!
Curious question, how do we send this for servicing when the time comes along? I guess it can only go back to MB&F for servicing given the unique construction of this watch. |

I would definitely think it can really only be serviced by MB&F. I don't know that any other watchmaker will be able to do much - even regulating.

Once open, should be easy to service. A pretty common base movement, actually.

A question for the MAD1 green owners. I was lucky to win the raffle and received the watch a couple of weeks ago.
But I can’t get used to the original strap. I emailed delugs, but no answer yet. Do any of you already purchase an alternative strap? And if so where? Thanks in advance. |

You can also choose to make a custom strap but it will be more expensive. The good thing is you can choose your own specs based on what they offer for customisation. |

I just received a message from Delugs and they are working on it.
I can’t seem to find any suitable straps on their site and I tried several search entries. Any help would be more than welcome. |

No green strap at the moment. I bought the first one for my red M.A.D.1 1-2 years ago. If you are willing to pay more to make a custom strap, you can use this link below this sentence at their website using the specs for the ready-made straps listed above: https://delugs.com/products/custom I had made a few custom straps for other watches in the past. The good thing about custom straps is you can choose your own unique strap combo. |

Some pics of the watch with the Delugs strap. The deployant clasp is aftermarket from Delugs which I opted for when buying the strap I think (don’t remember exactly).

How often do you find yourself wearing your Mad 1 in your regular watch rotation? And what is the recommended size strap for a 6.5 inch wrist?

I have a 6.75" wrist and have a medium strap. It's a little bit shorter than I'd like, but, not much. For a 6.5" wrist, I think you'd be golden with a medium. |

Nice. Finally they do the strap for green Mad 1. I wonder is Alcantara hard to maintain? Or would water destroy it?
