I believe it’s ‘only’ 18.8mm thick but get your point! Very excited this end too - something unusual and from a company that really cares about its fanbase.

Well, ya know... sometimes a bit more girth is better.

Height of the MAD1 is fine, even kinda appropriate. But yeah, imho a 'beefier' timepiece strap greatly helps to visually balance the head's thicc'ness.

Im excited for my green clover MAD1 too!

Curious question, how do we send this for servicing when the time comes along? I guess it can only go back to MB&F for servicing given the unique construction of this watch.

I would definitely think it can really only be serviced by MB&F. I don't know that any other watchmaker will be able to do much - even regulating.

haha i guess we have to factor in that eventual cost of servicing then into the ownership of the watch!

Once open, should be easy to service. A pretty common base movement, actually.

A question for the MAD1 green owners. I was lucky to win the raffle and received the watch a couple of weeks ago.

But I can’t get used to the original strap. I emailed delugs, but no answer yet. Do any of you already purchase an alternative strap? And if so where?

Thanks in advance.

You can buy one of their existing straps meant for M.A.D.1. You can click on search on their website. I ordered one for my red version 1-2 years ago. However, they may not have any suitable colours for the green version unless you are ok with any existing strap options.

You can also choose to make a custom strap but it will be more expensive. The good thing is you can choose your own specs based on what they offer for customisation.

I am in the same position. I properly would wait a little and see if delugs will release green version of the straps.

I just received a message from Delugs and they are working on it.

I can’t seem to find any suitable straps on their site and I tried several search entries. Any help would be more than welcome.

No green strap at the moment. I bought the first one for my red M.A.D.1 1-2 years ago.

If you are willing to pay more to make a custom strap, you can use this link below this sentence at their website using the specs for the ready-made straps listed above:
https://delugs.com/products/custom
I had made a few custom straps for other watches in the past. The good thing about custom straps is you can choose your own unique strap combo.

Do you have any pics of the MAD1 with the delugs strap? Thanks!

Some pics of the watch with the Delugs strap. The deployant clasp is aftermarket from Delugs which I opted for when buying the strap I think (don’t remember exactly).

That looks great! Was it a big improvement from the stock MAD1 strap?

How often do you find yourself wearing your Mad 1 in your regular watch rotation? And what is the recommended size strap for a 6.5 inch wrist?

I don't wear mine all that often, but it is one of the most fun watches in my collection and a lot of people notice it. It's a conversation starter for sure.

I have a 6.75" wrist and have a medium strap. It's a little bit shorter than I'd like, but, not much. For a 6.5" wrist, I think you'd be golden with a medium.

advice much appreciated I just pulled the trigger this morning and ordered mine - i entered the raffle multiple times for my son but turns out he is okay with the Tissot PRX baby blue that I got him earlier this year. But, this watch looks like it will be fun to wear and like you said a conversation starter and who know maybe he will take it off my hands at some point.

I was on Delugs website checking out some straps for another watch and noticed they added a couple of straps for the Green Mad 1 in case anyone is interested.

Nice. Finally they do the strap for green Mad 1. I wonder is Alcantara hard to maintain? Or would water destroy it?
