I’m 58, a corporate manager (media production) for Apple and I currently wear a Ceramic Sub with Date (black) I purchased new and for keeps. Was my grail. I wear an Apple Watch usually only when exercising or on days when I’m in meetings all day and want a discreet way to track notifications from my phone.

This is also, incidentally, my first post here, though I’ve read the forum for years. Other than Rolex (also have a vintage OP that was in my family, but too small for current tastes), I have a weird fascination with workhorse Seiko divers like SKX (which go on Natos) and I collect Monsters.

Fascinating to me the wide variety of people and stories that are brought together in the Rolex world. For controversy, I’ll admit I’m a long time Archie/Pluta fan. My next piece would likely be a newish polar Explorer II because, for Silicon Valley where a sport Rolex IS a dress watch, I feel that’s the current perfect two-watch collection.

70s vintage 1500 Date, Blue Linen. I'm a chemist, age 65, retiring in 3 months, 12 days, 3 hours, and 38 minutes. But who's counting?
