A Black Friday sale addition to my collection. I am not a fan of the new Seiko 5 series lineup except this one watch; the Seiko SRPE61. The sunburst silvery gray dial, the layout and hands are a pure classic along with the polished/brushed case design and dimensions. The polished chamfer on the brushed bezel is a great touch. My collection is loaded with colorful, rotating, and busy bezels. The naked sterile non-rotating bezel is a welcomed, minimalist change. The 4R36 movement, day and date feature are solid. The lume is super. I think this watch is a homerun in almost every regard. I purchased multiple Barton cloth straps in colors I like taking advantage of their Cyber Monday sale. I have it on this wonderful coral colored strap which plays nicely off the dial color. I also bought a burnt orange and gray Barton cloth strap for it too.
