Started with a Tag as well. Still have it. Probably would only buy tag if Rolex wasnt around. Rolex is Tags big brother in the jewelry store.

I discovered Rolex early on in the 80's in miami during the drug era everyone seemed to have a Rolex except me and I wanted one but could not afford
it. it wasn't till I was in my 40's that I could have one. my 1st Rolex was a Sub TT Black bezel K series 2002, my 2nd was a Sub SS date D series 2006, now I own a DSSD V series and I am very happy with it, My next Rolex will be a YM TT white dial but I want it with an updated bracelet so I will wait..... |

A whole bunch mainly mickey mouse watches, casios, Oris but I know it will eventually be a Rolex on my wrist. I remember seeing Rolex ads on newspapers n asking myself 'What kind of a man do I have to be to be able to wear one of those'.

Casio,Swatch,Citizen eco drive(4yrs still wearing for work & in a prety sorry state, can't use the crown because it comes off & I can't adjust anything. Tissot, Longgine cosmograph traded that in for the Omega Seamaster Sword hands, Rolex Sub-Date. Very happy to own the Seamaster and extremely happy & proud to own the Sub. Hopefully I can own more CROWNS.

Omega Seamaster chrono and Omega Speedmaster, they do not get the same attention any more, too bad, both great watches.

Started with Tag then Franck Muller then Panerai, Patek and finally Rolex. Wasn't really into Rolex until I bought a Daytona and a Sea Dweller

Tag and Rolex are two differet classes of watches. Tag's are nice but not even parallell with Omega and Ebel, IMO. Wife has a Tag that is TT gold plated with Swarovski crystal MOP dial. Won't find TT gold plated or Swarovski in vintage or new Omega, Ebel or Rolex!!

It all started with Swatch
then it turned into: Sector, Tag Heuer, Omega, Maurice Lacroix, Panerai, and IWC But it all came to ROLEX

I started off with a Tag 200 meter quartz Diver that my wife Bought me in 1996. I wore it religiously until May of 2005 when I purchased my SD....and the rest is history. Tag makes a quality watch, and trust me, I beat the heck out of that thing! I have only changed the battery once, and I noticed last night that the battery had stopped. I'm not sure what Tag's service center is like, but it will make a great watch for my son in a few years, so I may have it cleaned up.

First "nice" watch was a black face, ss bracelet Tag Carrera. Still have it but it does not get much wrist time anymore. Next one was a polar Exp II that I regrettably traded. Oops!

Started with a Cartier...
which barely ever gets worn now (too small now... thinking of giving it to my girlfriend). Hey Safetrends, my dad has that same watch but with a white dial. You're right, scratch magnet, but a helluva great watch. He absolutely loves it.
