White - easy pick

White Milgauss - my favorite by a wide margin.

So you should be.

Cern dial.

I've got each of the current three and was looking to expand the collection with a 1019 but can't bring myself to pay the big bucks. Oh to have been around (with cash) when they just sat in the display case, unloved.

Personally, I like the white with the orange markers model. I am not sure whether or not they are actually more rare than the others, but if they are, they might fetch a higher price in the used market years down the road, but you never know. If I was to buy one today, I think I would go for the GV model, but I wouldn't hesitate on the white model either. I would be happy with either one. Naturally, you should pick the color that you like best. So many things can change in the future, so it would be impossible to guess which model will be worth more. I never choose on this basis, maybe because I like to hang on to my watches, but I do like to wear the models I like the best for now.

Kind of a funny story about this watch. It was bought to be used as Rolex designed it, as a watch that could survive high magnetic fields. It was originally my fathers, and was bought for him by my mother after having a few watches "destroyed" while he was doing some work in a hydroelectric dam (Working around the operating turbines). The story, as I've heard it, is that she went into a jeweler and asked if they carried any watches that could handle the magnetic load and lo and behold, they just happened to have that one behind the counter. If I remember correctly the 1636XXX serial number dates it to 1967 and I believe that it wasn't until the early 70's that my father got the Milgauss. He was never a man that had to have the most expensive this or that, or purchased anything strictly based on the brand, he just wanted something that worked.

I was equally confused when I was about to get a Milgauss. Finally decided on the BLACK non GV version.

The Milgauss isn't my favorite model, but I do like it. Of the three choices, the GV is my fave.

I always waver whether I like the Milgauss or not.

AND THEN I SEE THE GV and those fantastic photos and I know I love it.

I don't own any any Milgauss, but if I did the one for me would be the GV.

White looks very simple and 'clean'....

And I gotta agree with Greg, it's VERY comfortable and the perfect size.
