COSC ND or Sub LV?
Hey guys,
Thinking of trading my COSC Sub ND (Z) for the LV (Z or M). I'd probably be adding cash obviously. which would you choose..keep the Sub or go for the LV? How much cash would you add? Thanks |

I don't know how much cash, but perhaps 500 to 1000?

I would go with the LV.
I sold my 14060M shortly after getting my LV.

Cosc
I would figure a dealer type would want 1k ++ a forum trader
5-1k... For me I would keep the COSC, I find it more comfortable to wear and better looking. The LV is a great watch, but for me it was an occasional wearer and I wear the ND much more. |

That's a tough call. Do you need the date function? If so LV....
Personally I would keep the COSC 14060M. |

Tough call. Money aside the LV would get the nod for me simply because I like the maxi dial and can change the insert to black.
I'm mindfull though that the current Submariner represents the last of a special breed. |

No-brainer: Keep the Sub no-date. It's classic and has the most DNA from the original Sub. I have both and I find I wear the ND more because it's the coolest, simpliest, low-blingy Rolex sports watch out there.

The LV is more of a second Rolex, and I noticed most owners tend to baby it since it's seen as a collectible. The COSC 14060 however is quite a collectible itself, yet can be worn daily.
Tough choice. Good luck!

IMHO, you have to stay away from the forum for a week and forget about trading your 14060M. The grass is not always greener on the other side.
I like the LV but you already have the 14060M - just keep it - it's an awesome watch. Good luck either way. |

I agree, the LV is sweet. Especially since you can also swap out to a black bezel insert. I ended up getting the 14060M, the 16610 and the 16610LV because I couldn’t decide on only one. Like cdweller, I would save for the LV if you want it that badly and keep the Sub no date. |

Keep the sub!!! I have owned a couple of no-date subs and one LV. I have no regrets with selling the LV and I just might buy a 3rd 14060 this year. If I do buy another 14060, I will never sell it.
Right now there is a little extra hype regarding the LV, and when the no-date sub gets the ceramic treatment, there will be extra hype regarding it. Don't get sucked in, keep the sub and enjoy it for life.

Tough choice as you are the one who will be trading for the other one and then living with your decision. Both are great watches but I would keep the Sub ND.....and then save for the LV so then you wouldn't have to decide!!!

Thanks Jib! I never had the intentions of the LV being a safe queen and soon I'll have a black insert. Enroute are six G10's of various colors form a couple of vendors.... hopefully I'll have mail today

In an ideal world you'd have both. There is no one perfect watch out there.
In my humble opinion, the COSC 14060 appeals more to my refined side because of the history, lug holes and versatility. The LV is not as versatile and would appeal more to the "blingy" part of my personality. |
