AMEX - Tons of Reward Points; double the manufacturer's warranty; and the best consumer protection out there should something go awry. Pay if off with the next bill in full.

CASH! No need to get interest tagged onto the purchase but I understand that many don't have the cash thus putting it on a CC. As long as it doesn't put the hurt on to pay for it that way, then it's all good.

Purchasing with a Credit Card is a much smarter way to buy. You have A LOT more leverage if the deal or item is defective. Buying items in cash means nothing. A 0% store lay away or 0% interest free for 6 months promotion is the best way, if you can find it. Credit Cards are great as long as you know how to use them and pay them off. Just be smart about it.

Cash against my better judgement. No discount (not unusual in the UK). Years interest free credit would probably have been more sensible.

I actually put together more than fifty 100-dollar bills to pick up my Sea Dweller...

The seller wanted cash, I gave him cash.

You are sooooo correct. This is what I do.

Also somebody said u get "tons" of discounts if u paid cash.

I did a little research and a majority of ADs charged 3% MORE for AMEX. I found my AD and not only did he give me a NICE discount (less than a lot of other ADs-- 20%--and no tax--plus watch winder), He did not charge me for AMEX (Cash price) usage..

Do your research and use your cards for YOUR BENEFIT (POINTS REWARDS)/Then payoff without interest.

CZ

**Remember YOU DONT PAY INTEREST if you pay your card off on time and YOU GET INSURANCE/LEVERAGE for a "BAD" purchase.

Always use a credit card

Unless it gets me a discount, I never pay in cash. When purchasing my last watch, it became clear that cash money (already in my pocket) wasn't going to make any difference on price, so out came the credit card instead.

I don't carry a balance, of course. I use a CC for the consumer protections it offers.
