Today, I wore a black t-shirt with a pair of blue jeans, a navy blue NRA Golden Eagles baseball cap, black crew socks and a pair of brown low-top hiking shoes with my Explorer.

Yep, shorts 99 percent of the time, I guess dressing up might be a pair of casual Allen Edmonds and some jeans. I don't think I own a necktie, do they still make those? Seemed like my Sub, DJ or Exp 1 managed to look good in spite of my regular Bohemian attire.

I absolutely compliment my watch with my clothing or clothing with my watch.

Black leather and black leather, brown and brown.

I almost always wear silver/white gold/plat cufflinks, so that limits my watch choice if I'm going the french cuff route.

Stainless goes with most everything, but I tend not to wear black faced stainless watches with brown leather jackets or sport coats.

I wear Cordovan/Burgundy shoes/belt a lot so I find myself wearing a stainless and silver face watch, or a vintage Eterna with a Cordovan looking band.

PS- I do not think it makes you sound like a chick. Just a well dressed man.

Matchy-matchy is way too fussy and looks OCD-silly. To artfully clash shows creative style and confidence.

I own a Tudor Submariner, Sheffield Allsport Diver and a Benrus Commemorative WWII watch(es). On each, I wear a NATO or nylon strap. For dressy events it will be a nylon strap to match the outfit.

i can barely match my pants to my shirts, let alone trying to match a watch to my clothing.
