I'm new to Rolexs, I'd never seen a mother of pearl watch dial before. It's beautiful with the gold.

Hi Jeff, I'm relatively new to Rolex as well - and I personally didn't know they had this combination.

I've seen the White Gold Daytona with meteorite dial (amazing combo too), but never a gold on MoP...

So I'm pleased to have found it, and uhm... I'm not sure if there are many of these in circulation... :) ... So I like being the odd one out hehehe...

Beautiful watch...
Nice to see some leather as well (well, besides the cellini line)!

I always liked this watch (with a different dial) but always thought that the leather strap could break somehow leading to a broken expensive watch...

But that is me being neurotic!

Anyways, congrats again!

Thanks man - I suppose the leather COULD break off after a very long period of usage, but I suspect I'd notice if the leather is wearing off and I'd change it anyway to a new strap...

Moreover, I can always purchase aftermarket leather straps like HIRSCH, and custom made ones... :)

Finally my original Rolex leather strap is ready, my dealer did a pretty good job in resizing it for me! I love the golden/caramel hue of the alligator strap, I think it goes really well it the watch and dial - however I do like the Hirsch strap still, but the Rolex alligator strap gives it a more golden look :P.

Dr. Robert, yes indeed, but I now feel like mix-and-matching it with various shades of brown haha... perhaps it might even get more interesting if I find a yellower or a tanner shade of brown.. :D

Or maybe something non-alligator to make it look less formal...? Hmm... decisions decisions... :)

I don't know if anything would make a gold and mother of pearl watch less formal
