So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. As others have said, wear the watch, my friend. I have one just like it from the same year, and I LOVE it. You will, too! Since you have had it serviced, and I hope will KEEP it serviced, it will last you a lifetime!!

Hello Smoak352!!
I´m sorry so much for your loss. Please receive my deeper sympathies.

The TT Sub is a very nice variant of the classic Submariner. I got one copy early this year. Very elegant and classic as every Sub, and with an additional touch of luxury with its gold parts.
Regarding your Father TT Sub, I feel the only thing that would restrict your using it daily, would be if you work/travel in areas where there is a strong possibility of being robbed.
To lose such a nice memento from your Father, would be very bad thing I guess.
Other watches can be replaced, but this one has a very special significance.

Otherwise, I´m sure wearing it daily will honor his memory, as well as somehow link you with him everytime you glance it to tell the time.

Hope you´ll enjoy your TTSub, in spite of those sads moments you are living now.
Receie my best cordial regards, Abel.

You have a fine heirloom and it is beholden to you to wear it in his memory.

It will last you a lifetime and be something to pass on to your descendants too.

My condolences on the loss of your father.
Wear it, take care of it, enjoy it, and then pass it to one of your kids to keep this family heirloom and tradition alive.

I am very sorry for the loss of your Dad. Mine passed in 94 and I still miss him, esp since he would have become a Great Grandfather this past Tuesday! Nothing but time can attempt to heal the grief that you feel. I would wear that watch every day to remind you of all the good times you had with him. Don't save it in a box, only to have your son inherit it in the future to put it away. The best memorial to him is to wear it, enjoy it, and when somebody asks about it, you can proudly tell them where it came from!

My condolences on the loss of your father. Wear the watch daily. The Sub is a sturdy and durable classic Rolex model and you don't need to "baby" it in any way. You will get many years of service from it and it will bring many dear memories of your Dad as you wear it.

Nobody ever wants to get there first Rolex the way you did, but many have. My prayers are with you during this difficult time. I would wear the watch. Maybe not everyday, but trust us, the old man would have wanted it on your wrist.

Very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I know how difficult it is to lose a father.

Enjoy the watch any way you see fit. I'm sure that's the way he'd want it.

My condolences to you over the loss of your father as I lost my father in 1998. I have a few keepsakes that my Mom gave me which will never be sold for any amount of money. Your Dad wanted you to have the watch so wear it everyday with pride and enjoy the gift handed to you!!!

My Condolences...

My deep condolences... I've been through this situation years ago.. My father left me a YG Day Date when he passed away ,, I kept it for years in the safe and never wore it because it wasn't my style and because I had other Rolex sports models.. Anyway my mistake is that I sold this watch and now I feel really bad of selling it.. My advise to you: Just keep your TT Sub for good !

Wow, I got a little emotional there reading all the comments from you guys. You dont know how much this advice means to me. I was going to put this watch in the safe but I think I will wear it now. When my mom handed me the watch I just lost it, because seeing it instantly reminded me of him. I will take your advice to heart.

Thank you again. I look forward to more advice from this community.
