Hello SCD, true. But it still won't measure 36mm. It's kinda difficult to perform a measurement without the bezel getting in the way. What I did though is I sort of like clamped the sides of the watch with the caliper positioned perpendicular and I did get....I would say a more accurate reading on the caliper. But it still didn't get 36mm. Talk about having too much time on my hands!!!!!

Size

Although I don't have the tools to measure my Dj. It wears differently than my 34mm Tudor Oyster Date. Not quite sure it's 36mm but it feels at least 2mm larger Still learning how to take pictures but here they go for comparison.

The side of the case of my DD curves out just about .5mm beyond the outer diameter of the bezel. It's easy to see if this if I hold up an business card or some other straight-edge up to the case perpendicular to it.

Yeah...too much time...what an unbelievably ridiculous thing to be discussing! :)

My early 2000s Datejust measures 1.400 inches from the edge of the case, just next to the top of the crown, to the opposite side of the case.

1.400 inches X 25.4 conversion factor to millimeters = 35.56 millimeters.

Pretty close to 36 mm, and if rounding to the nearest millimeter is allowed, it equals 36 millimeters.

It has not been polished.

Does this solve it? No, I think it may fuel the fire more. I'm not sure about the new Datejusts.

You know what I'm going to search the forum to look for a DIY way to detach the crown and get an accurate measurement of them cases.
