it's not a scratch......it's character! every dent, scratch and mark has a story behind it. The story behind this dent....is that you cried like a baby over nothing.

I see it, that would hurt me too, but to be honest, it will get more over time. I tried to tell this to my wife when she got her first scrape on the bumber of her SLK. She wanted to have it fixed but I said to wait till she got a few more, she argued but agreed in the end. It now has at least 3 more scratches and is now worth taking in.
The point to this story? Just leave it to gather a few more bumbs and then take it in when it is due for a service. |

Thank you all for your help and kind words..
Still alow me to ask: Anybody had a simillar problem before or if can see another pic with the bezel teeth broken? Also if you look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ev6DJT0P4U You will see that there is a rim that holds the ceramic in place. My question is if that rim can be purchased alone? And by the way, you may not see it clear in the photon but the teeth under 30 left is not broken, is bent inside.. I will try later to take a better pic, and as far the scratch lower i have been polished for 30 minutes with the micro cloth that camre with the watch and gets smaller and smaller. Not that sad anymore Thank you all..You can't fully apreciate such a watch untill you go to simillar situation just like me. Cheers, Levi |

I wouldn't spend any money to fix it at this time. Wait until you bang it several more times before you even consider fixing. |

Had a similar case on my ceramic sub LV
My AD fixed the case and bracelet for free they just polish it. It does scrap some steel of but if it's bad and bothering you then fix it and enjoy ur watch. I don't know about the ceramic! Goodluck |

Do you have a clue what they used to polish the case and bracelet?I did polish the scratch and is allmost gone now, but the dent in the teeth is the trick.

Live with it, or you will never be able to truly enjoy the sub. Soon you will get more dents and scratches, it will age like wine and men, the more the better. I love my sub 16610 with dents and scratches Cos these remind me that my sub is a true tool watch. Same apply to my recently acquired ceramic bluesy, many people just worry about how easily the gold centre links will be scratched, but let me know ya, these marks make my bluesy a unique piece of sub. Just to share my thoughts with you. Cheers up

i may have just enjoyed too much laphroaig, but, i really can't see the issue.....i was thinking i'd open the thread and get confirmation on the ceramic bezel being too weak and, therefore, my growing SubC fetish could stop, but, sadly, no such luck....

Its a divers watch, it better be able to take a minor bump. These are the factors I hope Rolex considered before putting a ceramic bezel on a divers watch.

I scratched my clasp on my DSSD the second day I had it at the gym. So what? I have a few scars on my body as well. Each one comes with a darn good story! My watch is just like me and I hope yours will be the same. A great watch becomes a part of you and your history. Enjoy it!

No worries, I can't even see the nick and you would have had the same result on a non-ceramic. Nothing unique about this result of wearing the watch! I noticed a scuff on the upper right lug of my Sub-C about a week ago and it has already melted into the appeal of a careworn watch showing the signs of daily use. Enjoy your watch and it can get touched up when you get it serviced in 7 years.
My old GMT Master's bezel teeth were all worn out and scratched from decades of use. If it really bugged me, I could rotate the bezel so that I was looking at the best side. You could do this if the nick at 30 bugs you too much. |

That's miniscule, can't even see it, if I were you, I'd wear it and enjoy it. Watches get hit and scratched up all the time, especially if you're wearing it everyday as opposed only to special occasions, if that's your special occasion watch, which I sure don't think it is, (A SS Submariner is not to be worn for weddings only) Otherwise, now you'll be less particular about and careful. I just sold someone a X-serial Sub which was in amazing condition, the catch is the guy's afraid to where it so he doesn't get it scratched.
I sold a friend of mine my GMT Ceramic, he bought it right off my wrist so the bracelet had scratches here and there, I told him that no need to polish it now, wait and get it polished later on. Point of this long msg is: Enjoy your watch! Specially when it's a ceramic and no one can see the damage unless there's a microscope! |

Get it fixed and never wear it again to avoid such pain.

Seems like a dent that would add character to the watch after years of good use. If it doesn't affect time keeping I would just leave it. No worries about it at all.

its under the "30" bezel text area. looks like the pointy tooth bit is "flattened" from the pix.
it must have taken quite abit of force for that to happen, and the ceramic bezel insert is still okay (ie. not shattered from the forced applied to dent the bezel.......) good work Mr. Rolex |
