Thanks guys! So I'm guessing that the rootbeer's not too shabby at all, and is here to stay then

1958 6542 guilt dial with bakelite bezel is still the king of the GMT's(in my opinion) and if you have a Pan Am edition? Yahtzee! The Root Beer GMT has been one of the most accurate movements I have ever had - 4 months and still barely a tweak in time adjustment required. Great color once they get a nice fade on the dial.

The RB GMT Master has a great 70's vibe to it. It's impossible to ignore this watch, or mistake it for anything else.

Are there any other special soda GMTs besides the Coke, Pepsi, and the Rootbeer?

I had one and let it go a few years back. Not a fan of the nipple dial. It cannot be an only watch IMO because it's not that versatile. But if you already have an SS and need a little gold it goes great I think as a dressy or sport watch. I'm seriously considering one down the road I think. If the dial hue is just right it can be a stunner! Danny, is that a rootbeer? Looks like a champagne dial on a root beer bezel from my optic.

correct Marcus..
It is a Serti dial in Champain with Root Beer Bezel.
The Serti is Official Rolex but not original.
Some say that the solid Root Beer (all brown) bezel only came on the 18k model but I have seen them on 18k and TT.
Because of the RB Bezel, I still consider it a RootBeer.
I am looking forward to getting it and think it would look great on a TT Super Jubilee.

Haven't heard of any others aside from the ones already mentioned here though I've heard the Sub LV referred to as the 7-Up.

Danny it is stunning! . Look forward to seeing more pics when you get it.

As an aside, I find that the dial on the Rootbeer GMTs ometimes differs. I've seen them more brown and some bronze. Mine was a little too brown and I flipped it. A bad mistake I think now.

I'm having the opposite problem! I've found a lovely bronze dial.... but I reeeeaaaalllly want a darker brown dial!!
