If the bracelet is the only factor, then my opinion is that you stay with your current watch, on the other hand if you would like to have the whole watch for the up grades then yes.
I like everything you have collected so far.

The newer Sub-c is better, it's an upgrade of the older one. Period.

BUT, if you like the older one keep it and buy something different.

All the ADs around here say they aren't selling as well as the old models did, but perhaps it's the financial climate. They are pretty ugly, you must admit! ;-)

yeah seen a few 116610 in UK AD's, never ever saw a 16610

thats wayyy more boring than a sub, but if you are 75 years old, the patek is the watch for you.

the square lugs just dont look like they fit . looks like a 25 quid copy . ill stick with the older version , plus im too mean to buy a ceramic insert , they cost more than my car did.

Well I have two subs, a 16610 and a red 1680, so anytime I get bored with the PP, I can strap one of those on instead.

I too would love to wear a Patek, or a Lange, but I think I'd be too paranoid about water, scratches and damaging them. Im already a little bit that way with my Sub C, so a less robust (admittedly better made however) watch that costs 15k+ and is hyper expensive to fix would stress me out too much I think. :)

That being said I hope some day I'll find a way to wear a Patek, probably a Jumbo Nautilus.

I'll borrow a phrase coined by our own beloved Dan2010

as he liked to call the Sub-C 116610: "SILLY CASE"

If you already have one silly case, you should probably keep your collection diverse with one classic and one silly case. This is all just me being funny, but think about those lugs and how long the Sub has looked just like your 16610 all these years. If you have multiple watches that include the various Rolex generations, then no reason not to have a silly case or two. If my watch fund could support it, I'd keep a few around the house.
