i wear my 41-year-old DJ all the time. in fact, it keeps time better than my 3 year old sub. i don't see why you can't wear a working, serviced watch every day, regardless of the age.

My watch is a 1958. It was bought new by a very close friend, and I bought it from him in 1969. It has been serviced regularly throughout the years. The only time it comes off my wrist is when I need to reset the time. When I look at the watch, it brings back memories of my Military career, and the many countries, and missions that I was involved in. It also brings back memories of many other times.
As I said, I wear it all the time. To swim, shower, in the woods hunting and fishing, and many other things in the field. I also wear it riding my Harley, and if it can take a harley's vibration, I guess it will stand up to most anything. As old as it is, it's all original, and only has one tiny scratch on the back where a opening tool must have sliped. No big deal.

Why have a great watch and not wear it? Can't get no use out of it if it's sitting in a sock drawer, or a safe. wear it and enjoy it.
