I do agree with the rest of your post though, very well written and thoughtout m8. I just that it was funny that people insist that they sell every watch they make, according to my AD they don't.

I would think not... Why? With Rolex's staunch, proud, dictatorial sales policies, I don't think they give a hoot about customer feedback. Apparently their thinking is more, "If we build it, they will come" than, "We are here to meet your needs"... Sales will dictate whether the Clownmaster survives in it's current form. Had they done any actual market research, it probably never would have made it to production. I don't view Rolex as approachable at all. In the end, it may well be their undoing. As Al Pachino so prophetically said in The Devil's Advocate, "Vanity, it's my favorite sin"...

I belong to an athletic booster site. I know for a fact that members of the athletic department monitor that website to "see which way the wind is blowing" (apologies to Bob Dylan)...There is a lot of valuable information and feedback that comes from this site. Anyone in management and has some area of responsibility for the business would be foolish not to keep up on what the watch buying public (their brand in particular) are thinking. (i.e. time to say "Just kidding" on the new yachtmaster...)

Good point, LOL! Because I also called my AD to ask him what the oldest watch he had in his case was. He is a personal friend and I don't buy Rolex watches anymore, but he understood the question. He told me he had a ladies pearlmaster that was a Y series and a DD with bling that was a Y series. Rolex did sell the watch, but he thinks he may never be able to do the same.
