What's the highest altitude you've been to?

Grady I've been up to Sandia Peak and the view is awesome...
I've also been to Pike's Peak in Colorado and the air sure gets thin up there!!!

That picture was taken at the corner of Juan Tabo NE and Comanche NE, one mile west of Tramway.

I love ABQ, too.

Mount Whiney in California at 14,500 ft., the highest point in the continental United States. From there you can also see the lowest point in the U.S., Death Valley.

If were counting skiing, I guess A-Basin at 13,050 ft which is the highest in-bounds ski run in North America. Also, Pikes Peak at 14,115 ft via car

Have you ever been skiing at Sandia Peak?
Since I'll spend the end of next winter in the ABQ area, I'd like to know if it's worth it (this is a genuine Swiss guy asking ) .

Thanks, Grady! The constant climb of 38 miles from sea level to the top, w/ an average 9% gradient, took 5 hours and 4 minutes up and over an hour back down.
