Posts like these always confuse me. I thought membership here, and the ability to post, was a privilege, not a right. I like the fact that we self police so well......makes this a safer and more enjoyable experience for all, in my opinion. I would think if someone finds things not to their liking, that they would simply move on to someplace else, that might be more comfortable for them, rather than complain publicly. And yes, daunwaun, conceptually "their playground, their rules"............however, I do believe that these rules embody that which the majority of us do believe in, and make for a more satisfying overall experience here..........and the concept of "their playground, their rules" is also something which I like, being one who appreciates order and predictability......

I for one think it's a good rule and feel safer as a buyer knowing that it's in place.

I don't want to waste my time negotiating with a "seller" that doesn't actually have the watch in question.

I think you just gave TMI, OP.

And it's not just about this rule. I personally would never relate that a watch was being sold due to a need for money due to hard times. It certainly can't help you out as a seller.
