I don't think I am going to hold my breath. I cannot believe you let the 14060 go again. That always seems to be the watch you return to and if I were a betting man, you will have another Submariner within 3 months.

Bob Marley said it best...

Stop that train: I'm leavin' - today!
Stop that train: I'm leavin' - anyway!
Stop that train: I'm leavin'. And I said:
It won't be too long whether I'm right or wrong;
I said, it won't be too long whether I'm right or wrong.

All my good life I've been a lonely man,
Teachin' my people who don't understand;
And even though I tried my best,
I still can't find no happiness.

Seriously Dan good on you mate....

I know exactly how you feel too.

I currently have three Rolex watches but two're just staying in the safe until I give 'em to my sons 'cos my 216570's everything I've ever wanted in a watch.

You can jump off the Rolex train, but only to stretch your legs, but you will jump back on and go to the next station....there's always another station just a little down the road......

Until then.........

Good for you Dan. I did the same and have been a 1 rolex guy since April. I am getting the itch again though! It's tough to fight. 16610 is the one I have and when I look at trading it I relaize it's pretty nice. we'll see. It's a journey.

It's gonna be rough man. You might as well never come back on TRF because... well, you already know why. Good luck on your journey and definitely, congratulations on your Explorer.

I would get the 36MM Explorer only if it came with the updated clasp.

Brother Dan, Brother Dan, I am heartbroken, weeping w/ sadness....Bah humbug....what is this blasphemy about one watch.........sacrilege!!!!
One watch, one watch...what madness!!!!
Pity the poor trusted TRF sellers, the ADs.........the watch repair guys.......the Rolex elves....how can you be so heartless & selfish.
If you want to come back to us....say ten Hail Marys & buy a 14060, again.

If you like the GMT II c but cant get used to the pcl's why dont you just have them brushed out ? Lot's of people including myself have done this and the watch comes out looking wonderful. Imho, they never should have added the pcl's, but it is an easy fix. Just my .02 cents.

Dan, I'd like to believe that you will be happy with your new acquisition but I fear that I agree with Casey VP xxxxx etc.

you'll stop buying watches when you find a new habit...er...hobby or you kick the bucket ( and I hope that doesn't happen as losing JJ was bad enough for us) and we enjoy your watch merry go round.with all these larger watches. I guess if you can afford to buy and sell...heck go for it.

I really do understand your itch cause I think I have it. I love my 16613 SERTI sub as it is a little different and not seen in the wild as much and it is comfortable. Yet, I crave the hulk. I could sell the SERTI sub or even the IIC which i lso love but, I know I still would want them back and then I'd be unhappy. Therefore, I force myself to be content with my IIC and SERTI sub. Heck, it's tough but someone has to do it!

I really want more Rolexes but just don't see that happening due to financial concerns.

Best of luck with your addiction!
