Green Moon. Sounds much better than "Kermit"!

1. Why would this AD change the bezel insert with no problem when mine told me there is no way he could do it and Rolex would never allow it? I probably already know the answer to that one. 2. In terms of "preserving" the green bezel - If Rolex were to discontinue the LV, how long would they keep green bezel inserts in stock? Are we looking at the 30 year rule on that model? Just curious. |

2. I thought it was the 50-yr rule? Honestly, we know that Rolex in the past has kept parts on hand for about 50 years, but what they will do in the future is yet to be observed. Or, you can think about it this way: let's say you get your watch serviced in 30 years and they replace the bezel...that new bezel will be looking great for MANY YEARS after you're gone, my friend!

La lune is the moon in French. Les lunettes are glasses. Les Lunettes vertes are green glasses. La lune verte is a green moon. I do not know if the singular of lunettes is a bezel. I do not think so. I lived in France for awhile when young and my dear mother had me learn the language. Lived in Tours, the seat of the Loire Valley, and not far by train to Paris.
