My last 4 cars have been BMW, all bought and serviced from new from the same garage, after being charged 600 quid for something that went wrong with my current 1 series, two months out of warranty, my next car will be either an Audi or VW.

Alaskan vehicle

It gets -65F here in the interior of Alaska. I am starting a club..."Alaskans for Global Warming" and here is the clubs truck of choice! Horrible gas mileage but fun to drive.

I am drawn to the Golf TDi Dalip, I have heard nothing but good things about them, in fact, right through the range/models have all got great reviews.

I fancy the diesel model because of the petrol/diesel prices in the UK and my round trip to work is about 70 miles a day (I don't know whats come over me, first time in a long time that I have a sensible head on). I would absolutely kill for an R32 or GTi though.

I hear you about the TDi Dave - it's a fabulous car with great performance and consumption.

The R32 was always a car I wanted and when one came up about 3 years ago I couldn't resist.

Roads/traffic here are nothing like the UK and so it usually has a good run so fuel is not too bad...But it's always a joy to flick the lever across to sports and use the paddles - The DSG is a dream

The GTi is legendary of course - and Alison loves it. She got hers before I did mine - and it was what convinced me to buy VW after having a mazda MPS.

Funny when we moved into our new place recently the guy next door told Alison that he thought we must be good sorts because of the two golfs

Right about her at least

You might not have seen this advert, I think it's brilliant, always gives me a smile, especially the woman's face at the end.

Man,the VW Golf has been around for quite a few years now,I'm surprised a lot of people still like it. That's one iconic car for sure but I've never truly liked it tho

Never really been a Golf fan, as i drive a diesel Volvo S80. I suppose my dream car would be a new BMW M5 Auto,i tend to go for comfort really in a car.
