Looks nice! What is your review on the movement and can you comment on how the countdown works?

Congrats.
What's the weight on this beast? I bet it makes my Ingot at 231g seem like a lightweight.

Absolute cracker mate - good choice. Have liked it since I first saw it, bordering bling, but class. Bit too rich for me tho - £17000

Just taken these pics in a mixture of daylight and normal domestic artificial light. They should give you a pretty realistic idea of what the YM II looks like.
Here's a size comparison with the YM I. Look at the difference in case and clasp size. I've only had this watch a few days but I do have some observations. Firstly, this watch is big and heavy even compared to a gold YM. In fact I just weighed them and the YM I was 184g with the YM II at 274g. That's 49% heavier. But, for me the size and weight feels good. I'm a big guy so can take it but it might look overbearing on a smaller chap. Secondly, the Regatta timer is very clever but the second hand does not stop at the end of the countdown. I cannot see many people buying this watch just for that feature and will use this watch to time more mundane things. The synchronisation feature is very clever but again only useful for Regattas. Thirdly, the minute and hour hands can be tricky to make out in certain light situations with there not being too much contrast between them and the face. Fourthly, I love the look of this watch. As I said before I wasn't convinced before seeing it, but in the flesh it looks great to my eyes - fresh and bold. Finally, I thought I'd leave you with a snap of my collection. I hope you enjoy the pics |

I'm not at all familiar with the sailing features of this watch, although I used to own a YM myself. Just wondering why there are two "10 to 0's" (on the dial and on the bezel). Also, does the bezel move at all?
By the way, welcome and very cool looking watch. |

I guess a lot of members had a "change of heart" since another member actually bought one. Quite a contrast from earlier opinions here:

It's the GMT II Ceramic Supercase heavy 18ct with solid links. Quite heavy but not as solid as your YM 2.

They are not common but are certainly available and the MRSP is about $22,500 but have seen them go for $18-19,000 from Ebay specialist watchbrokers.

Very pretty indeed - Does it tell you the date via those 1-10 scales???
