How many of you wear your "Rolls" and use it as it was intended to be used: worn daily? Some places just aren't safe to wear.

Cheers

I was wondering about the same thing. Maybe Mr. Rolio can clarify.

You still did not answer our original question: Do kids talk like that (gangsta talk) in Spain? Thanks.

I wear a Movado as my daily watch and it's gotten really scratched over the years. I would reserve a Rolex only for special occassions unless you have a pretty healthy income. If so, go for it!

To answer your question, Yes. In every culture, even the Spanish culture, there is what we call the lower register, a language that has its idioms and vernacular forms. Y tambien hay bandias en ciertos lugares. Es lo mismo aqui y alla.

Suerte,

Rolio

Every day. I wear it to the Gym, i wear it in the house, I wear it working on my car. Sometimes If I am doing something that really might damage it (like working in tight places or with chemicals or fire) I will take it off and keep it near by, where can still check the time.

I am pretty sure that risk of theft is the ONLY thing that would keep me from wearing it, but honestly, no one really notices it, and if I am worried, I just slip it low on my wrist and put my hand in my pocket. Plus it is insured...

Sometimes I have thought that a Tudor Sub would be perfect for those situations.....

My Rolexes are generally my Friday, parties, and weekend watches only. Usually I alternate between my GMT and Explorer II each weekend. Wear one this weekend, wear the other next weekend.

I generally don't prefer wearing my Rolexes during the week because of work (which involves a lot of carrying stuff) and classes. During the week, I wear my Longines with the leather strap or my Wenger instead.

Mine "suits" perfectly in my work ! I'm a journalist in a big private TV channel, so you can see a number of Rolex's there....
So, it's my everyday watch

As somebody said earlier, they wear their Rolex, then that way they know where it is!

I've been doing quite a physical task at work for the last three months, and have switched my Explorer II to a leather strap, incase it gets a few dings, but have kept on wearing it, as I also like to know the whereabouts of my Rolex! Travelled on the Tube everday, in a t-shirt, doesn't even get a second glance, which suits me fine. Also been on a few vacations, and it's slipped under the radar.

I can understand your concerns though. You should be able to wear what you like in this day and age, and nice things should be there to be admired. If I see somebody wearing a nice watch, driving a nice sports car, I think good on ya.Unfortunately, not everybody shares that view.
