You can try but trust me it won't last even a day on your wrist. The metal stinks and the cut is not smooth. I've got a friend who has one and I could smell the stink when we were in the same car.

Soon after that you'll regret why you didn't spend the money to buy a genuine Seiko. At least the metal doesn't stink.

There are many great watches, e.g. Ball Hydrocarbon Engineer, Sinn U1-U2, Swiss Military, Luminox, Nautische Muhle SAR, G-Shock and so on that can be bought in a variety of price ranges that can serve as a daily "beater" (terrible term) without the wearer having to be a phony. Wearing a fake Rolex just indicates to me that the wearer is sporting a Rolex to feel important, and not for the inherent values of the watch.

Plus, the sport line of Rolex that I've been most acquainted with are strong, sturdy watches with basically uncomplicated movements, and many of us buy them just because the REAL Rolex is so dependable in so many situations. Seems add to replace a REAL daily use watch with a FAKE daily watch. What's the advantage?

I'm in Perth WA, thats Western Australia

God's country lots of surf, beautiful women etc etc but no Panerai dealers
So before I bought the real thing I bought a fake from ebay. Sure as nuts it's a fake but and that's a big BUT BUT BUT.



The size, etc convinced me Pams were a good watch to get. I'd quite gladly get a fake/copy just to see how it looks.

Then I'd go for the real thing..



BTW

I have 2 X GMT, 1 X SD, 2 X PAM, all real, So just in case, I got the real thing too...

I think there is a difference between a fake/replica and a lookalike. The one you have pictured is a look-a-like.

my beater is a Seiko... however the need for a swiss watch was overwhelming
plus I thought it was a doll so I started wearing this O&W on duty...


however I wish I had pics of my SD before it's last service it was pretty scuffed up as well.

A friend of mine who travels to China and Japan often came back from a recent trip to HK with a SS DJ w/ white face and jubilee bracelet, and an EXPII white face and resented them to me in the office some time ago.

They are spot on fakes in appearance. Only the noisy movement and the difficult and backward adjustment of the EXPII's crappy movement are the tell-tale signs.

I adjusted both bracelets (again, crappy metals) and then put them in a drawer. I just couldn't bring myself to even put them in the same drawer as the watch case housing all my real watches.

One good thing that came out of this "gift" is the firm knowedge that I'd never want to buy/own a white face EXPII.
