Transio, if the seller has been and is making it right by you, then what is the nature and purpose of your post? I think Welchwatchman is right........it sounds and smells of (potential) posturing (for a reason) to me.

The purpose of this thread was to determine if I should contact the seller. Based on the responses, I did so this morning, and we quickly resolved the issue. Did you not see the progression of posts? Issue is resolved. Move on please.

It think is funny every time someone buys a ring from me and then 6 months later they bring it back with broken prongs missing the center stone and expect me to replace it when they are the one that smashed it up carelessly.

You are quite correct.

I'd not allow you to blackmail a seller.

And I wouldn't dare blackmail anyone. And I resent the implication that I have or would. You don't know the details. Back off please.

The reason you as a new member aren't being met with a more welcoming attitude, one most new members get, isn't because of your content, but rather your delivery.

I happened to read another thread in which you are also receiving similar treatment. Your attitude seems a little egotistical, argumentative, and a bit condescending. Which explains why a new member isn't receiving what is normally a friendly, welcoming response.

As they say, if a person calls you a horse, you can shrug it off. 2 people say it, think it over and move on. 3 people say it, time to buy a saddle.

I agree, people jumped on you initially because they thought your intention wasn't honorable. You'll notice I posted early on, wondering if in fact you were the buyer. I was right. But, the deterioration from there, and the heat you're drawing in other threads is all you.

Some people are likable, some aren't, your choice as to which type you want to be.

When I go anywhere, I bend over backwards to be friendly and respectful, and it works. There's a time and a place for heated debate, and snide comments, but a forum you just joined isn't one of them.

On Feb 28 you thanked the seller and said the watch is a beauty.

Fair enough assessment. I tried to be shy on details to protect people involved. I didn't expect speculative attacks. I can see some people don't like my attitude on this forum. Sorry if I come off as an ahole. Will attempt to work on that. But implying that I'm a blackmailer is unfair. I'm a good honorable person and haven't earned that character attack. Again I'll work on being less abrasive. Sorry about that.

I've bought a few watches here. You are speculating. (incorrectly I might add). I haven't even posted feedback for this seller yet and will probably now refrain to protect him.

In fact would a mod mind deleting this whole thread? It's not helping anyone at this point.

Excellent, we all (hopefully) learn from our mistakes, hey, with all the mistakes I make you'd think I'd be a genius by now. :)

Welcome to the forum, hope you stay.

My view is,,,,,,,,,,,,,, It is a expensive watch. WHo doesn't get it in the mail (or in person) and just have a visual orgasm all over it.

I mean I inspect every little bitty bit of my watches. I know every lume flake and every tiny ding so I know when there is new lume flake or a new ding.

This whole thread is just a last ditch effort to get the bezel polished I guess. Who would polish a bezel for a ding you can't even see is beyond me.

Now you have learned. Inspect whatever you are buying, Cars-Watches-Homes-Ladies of the night and so on.

I'm not going to post pics or anything else in this thread. And I'll tell you why. It wasn't my intention to imply that anyone had been shady with me. I don't believe that anyone was. There was a minor oversight and its been tesolved now. I titled the thread abstractly to try to divert attention from the truth of my case because I didn't want anyone knowing I had an issue with an actual watch. I only clarified that point when people attacked my character thinking I was intending to do something "suspect". At this point the issue is well past resolved and I don't want anyone thinking I'm dissatisfied with any seller I've dealt with. I tried to trick you guys into giving me info without disclosing details and I failed. Sorry. Let's please move on.

Shady (to me) is doing something you know beforehand to be wrong.

Absent the above, fixing a problem would be paramount to me as a seller or a buyer, and if that could not be accomplished to the satisfaction of all parties, then offering/being offered a full refund, including shipping both ways, would be ultimate resolution.....That's my 2 cents worth....

What's Considered "Shady" among Sellers?

Should read.

What's considered 'shady' with certain OP's.
