What a lousy development. Please update us on the repair. Hope you AND the watch are back to 100% soon!

So the rolex took the shot and broke your fall... saving you from serious injury?

Fix the crystal... keep the scratches for the survival story.

And take care.

So sorry to see that. I'm sure your sick inside. If you have insurance, make sure you utilize it. I've got mine insured for under $4.00 a month in the event of accident, loss,or stolen. They'll fix it up!

Your trusty Rolex "took one for the team". Glad to hear you weren't seriously injured. I wish you and your watch a speedy recovery.

thanks for all the concern. the watch i will be sending out in the next couple days to get fixed. So far im pretty lucky that the only thing that got damaged was the crystal. Case didnt get any scratches nor the hands get affected.

As long as the dial and hands are not damaged, you may get away with a crystal replacement. I dropped my Expy II on tile, the sapphire blew up, and was lucky enough to get away with a $200 crystal replacement.

it looks like the crystal took all the damage and the rest of the watch remains relatively unscathed :) All you need is a new crystal (use opportunity to upgrade to sapphire), and you'll be good to go,

That is a real bummer, send it to Bob Ridley for a much deserved spa experience and it will come back as good as new!

Also, interesting old Oysterdate - do you have any more photos of it? (unharmed, bien sure...)
