I'm with you guys. Nylon all the way. My favorite straps are the Corvus Real Bond, and the Maratac NATOs and Zulus. Superb stuff.

I like it. Guess I'll have to get one, being a huge Bond fan...
So, are you going to get a white dinner jacket, too? Might as well... |

Very nice!
(I know Bond uses a 19mm nato, but 20mm are look better IMHO) |

Especially nice with all the excess hardware chopped off.

Very nice! I have a Maratac green NATO strap, but I am tempted to get a Corvus Bond strap. I love the color combination!

After a few days, I cannot recommend the Corvus strap. It is simply too thin. Here is an excellent pic (borrowed from another member) that shows just how thin: You can also see how easily the holes fray. I've only had mine a few days, and already the same thing is happening. I have a Maratac Zulu strap with this Bond color scheme on order, and if it's similar to other Maratacs, I expect the construction to be of higher quality than the Corvus peice. A shame, since Corvus is twice as expensive! I know they are made in the UK, but the straps are simply too thin/fragile to be used IMO.

Rossi46: could you please update this thread once your Maratac strap comes in? I am looking to purchase one of these two and thought I had made my mind up on the Corvus (movie style with the fabric keeper), but your post above has pretty much killed that idea. I don't like the buckle on the Maratac (Mil-Series MI6), but I also don't want to pay twice as much for an inferior product. Thanks in advance!

You, fine sir, are rather self-indulgent. I much prefer a $17 strap on an $8,000 watch.
Carry on |

Sorry to revive the the thread, but any update on how the Corvus or Maratac are holding up after prolonged use?

I don't wear mine all the time since I rotate it with the oyster and other NATOs but when I do wear it it's on my wrist 24/7 and I breed horses for a living so it doesn't get an easy life.

Looks good to change things up a bit. I still like the bracelet better but is nice to have some different options.

5513 may be better for Moore era Bond but he always wore his on a bracelet and if you want authentic to the watch worn with that strap it's generally accepted that was a 6538.(donations gratefully received if anyone wants to help me fund one of THOSE!) Thanks to everyone else for your kind comments. One day I might dig out the White Dinner Jacket and ronson lighter, set it to the correct time and take a proper homage shot!

I've just seen one on eBay I want but don't know what size to get.
18, 20 or 22mm? I've got a sea dweller but its in having a service at the moment. Does anyone know what size I would need? Cheers |
