Congrats, it's a very special feeling owning your first Rolex. I received my first Rolex for fathers day this year after dreaming of owning one for many years myself, I will look forward to seeing some pictures of yours when you receive it.

No pics yet because it hasn't happened yet. She is scheduled for a 10:30 AM FedEx delivery tomorrow morning. Will try to get a pic or two up tomorrow evening. And you guys are right - I've got a terrific girl. In fact I may post a pic or two of her as well. :)

The Eagle (Datejust) has landed!!
Was supposed to arrive by 10:30 this morning but actually FedEx dropped it in my hands at 8:30 AM. Am resisting opening the box as I work in a crowded office and really don't want others to know what I just bought and I think there might be a benefit to opening it first this evening at the jeweler who is going to authenticate everything. Just snapped a pic of the box with my phone to post here but am having troubles exporting to photobucket. In the meantime, as promised, here are a couple pics of my girl to tide you over. I might add she's the best thing to ever happen to me!

Well, here it finally is! Not a scratch or blemish on it. Looks absolutely brand new to me and I couldn't be happier. Came with original boxes, papers, booklets, tags and even the papers from when it was first purchased new in 1999. Seems like the original owner wore it very infrequently. Had thunderstorms in San Antonio today and I wouldn't have been able to make it to the jeweler before 6:00 PM when he closes so I opened the darned box anyway. Everything looks completely authentic. Will still be at the jeweler tomorrow to get a couple of links taken out. She fits a little sloppy at the moment. :)
 Sorry for the poor quality photo and the reflection on the dial. A couple more to come I suppose! |
