14060, a black watch is easier to match with any outfit than green. i don't really need the date function, i guess it all depends whether you do...

14060 would be my choice. More versatile, IMO.

I see LVcs every now and then and I saw one in the wild a month or two ago that I can say with 100% certainty that's not true. While the green does go with a lot of stuff I saw a guy wearing a purple polo shirt and the green most definitely didn't work. Even my wife commented on how badly it clashed and just how goofy it looked. He looked like a walking Mardi Gras float. That said the LVc is one of my favorites and probably my favorite SS watch. I would say I like it more than the LNc but the black is just more versatile. I think it's one of those watches that works better in a collection where you have just a bit more options.
Given the OPs 2 choices I'd still go LVc over the 14060 without even having to think about it even if the 14060 goes with more clothing options. I'm not much of a fan of the old ND Sub especially after wearing new models with the new clasp, bracelet, ceramic bezel, and the maxi dial. I'm not saying it is a cheap watch (because it most certainly isn't) but it feels cheaper than other models. Also after wearing a watch with a maxi dial the older dials markers just seem too small now. The final kicker for me is the lack of a date. I know many of you are big fans of the ND Sub but I've just never really cared for it. In all honesty though if you only have one Rolex sell both and get a LNc or GMTIIc as IMHO are the 2 best stand alone Rolexes out there. |

So many good opinions so I definitely will keep both and sell my explorer 39 as it doesn't get much wear.

Then this (though keep in mind you can always find a good trade if there is something out there you like better):

Of the two, I'd go with the 14060 just because I don't think the Hulk is nearly as versatile with the green coloring. However if it were me I'd get something with a date, either a Sub Date or a prior model SD 4000.
