I am speechless. Hopefully you have some recourse with paypal, at the very least with your credit card if you paid with one. The original watch looked ok to me but what you received is such a poor quality fake it's a joke. I'm sorry to see this!

The link works for me but I think we're more interested in what happened. Did you start the pay pal claim???

I realize I'm Monday morning quaterbacking but - for future reference it's probably not the best idea to buy a often faked luxury item from a seller with only 2 months history, most of which are 1 cent items and the highest priced of which was a $36 video game.

Wise words, i was certainly suckered. Now I'm on to eBay Philipines who are telling me to either get the watch verified as a fake from an AD or send it back to the seller at my own expense. So much for eBay customer support. Paypal say the money is safe, but it seems locked in subject to the seller confirming he's received the item back from me.
I'll keep you posted.

What's the connection to the Philippines?

The seller's uk address is shown at the bottom of the listing.

You've made a mistake in buying this in the first place. I would be extremely careful about how you proceed in order to ensure you get your money back.

To OP,

Send the item back to seller with his address on file with eBay/PayPal. DO NOT send it to any other addresses provide by the seller that is different than confirmed address by eBay/PayPal. Make sure you have tracking for the package.

I agree, I think this guy is just waiting everyone's time. Nothing seems right with this story at all.

I received a full refund from eBay today, but corresponding and talking to their customer service dep’t in the Philippines has been a nightmare. I tried to post some warning feedback but eBay stopped me, I’ve asked them why? However, I’ve learnt a major lesson and I can’t say I felt confident at any stage that eBay would find in my favour and refund me. To those who offered help and advice, many thanks it was much appreciated. There seemed to be a few here who for reasons of their own thought I was lying? I don’t understand the abbreviations or the emoticons they used but rest assured, I’ll not be troubling you again. The last 3 weeks has put me off Rolex for life as I can’t look at one now without questioning if it’s real or fake, and that’s not what I want from a watch.
Best wishes to all for 2013.

Glad you've been reimbursed. I hope your view on Rolex changes given a little time to recover and the wounds to heal. I know it's a jungle out there, but real ones are easy enough to procure with full confidence if you go to the right place, and there's nothing that feels and wears as well on the wrist. So I hope you'll keep an open mind, try to look at this as a learning experience, and next time go with a trusted seller here or an Authorized Dealer where you'll soon have the real thing in hand, know it's real in full confidence, and enjoy it for years to come. I just hope you won't let your view of something as nice as Rolex be tainted by something as low as a scammer. If you do, it's almost like letting them win and pull you down. Get the real thing and wear it triumphantly. You'll be happy you did, and that would be the best end to this story that I can think of. Whatever you decide, best to you in 2013 as well and hope you stick around. This really is a great forum.

IMO Rolex wasn't the problem. Your avenues and research were. Remember when you point the finger, there are three pointing back at you.Good luck...
