Turns out after I spoke with the jeweler the clip used in the movie was gold plated and synthetic rubies for the eyes and the jaw was not spring loaded but fixed in the open position. He scanned and sent me over some sketches of the clip along with dimensions as he no longer had the original. I had a very skilled designer make the clip for me in solid gold with real 2.5 ct matching set ruby eyes each and a internal double counter spring design jaw. this clip is the only one in the world aside from the fake gold one made for the movie that didn't actually function. It was not easy to have made.
Would like to see everyone else's clips with their AP's

I had the whole money clip custom made including sourcing the coins from the right year. The coins I have, quit circulating in the late 70s so it was very hard for the silversmith to find them. While he didn't do the best work I think it was great being able to get it done.

Didn't know such stuff exist. I must have done it wrongly all the while because I use my fingers to pick up money. Learn something new everyday.

Yup, no need for money clips for me. Only time I carry a lot of cash is when visiting the casinos in Vegas.

That's a mean moony clip, amazing, I never used one, don't know about the US but in France it's already a very long time everything is made for people to use their credit cards or cheek books, the only people using a lot of cash are people from the underworld, gangsters and all, honestly it's even hard to get from your bank more than a few hundred euros, if you want more many banks ask you to order a few days in advance, HSBC is cool for this as you can get 2 or 3K a week from the bank but they annoyed me when I went to spend 1 month in Ukraine and sent there 20K, they wanted bills to see what I had used my money on, told them it was none of their F…… business what I do with my money, apparently it was as they closed my accounts 1 month later, both private and professional, but that was not long after they had been caught in a tax evasion scandal in France concerning thousands of their customers, so they started to be real tight about everything, welcome to 1984

Cool dragon money clip. I have several clips received as gifts and have yet to use them. I prefer a wallet where I can keep all my cash/credit cards etc in and not have to worry about something extra
