Ball makes great watches, like all Swiss made watches I guess.

Modern 'Ball watches' started out as a marketing exercise a few years ago. They needed an 'angle' to get into the market with a legacy and approached the owners of the 'Ball' name in the US and bought the rights and immediately had the heritage they needed.

They had a great product with lume nobody offered but needed a name to build a story around. People love stories, heritage and it makes them feel good about what they bought.

It paid of big time to buy the BALL name. Great and clever marketing.
Without the name the same watches would not have been so successful imo.

Graham, Arnold & son and Panerai, all are great marketing company's.
But they all 'bought' the history and heritage.
Very different than Patek, AP , Rolex, IWC etc etc.

I have the Ball for BMW GMT and absolutely love it. BTW, I do drive a BMW.
So much easier to read the time at night than my new DJII.

I am thinking about the Ball Trainmaster Roman as my next watch.

Nice watch but I wouldn't want to have a car company's logo on my watch, and my car is a BMW...

I'm the other way around.

If I had a Bentley I would have to buy an appropriate Breitling for Bentley too.
I don't think I will ever have a Bentley though, so no worries there, but I do have a friend who has both.

Why not, it's all just good fun.

Another Ball fan. I've heard that any self respecting male should own a pair of Balls. Alas, I only own one...a Red Label 43mm. Perfect dress piece that is clearly visible in the wee hours.

From web (but same watch):
