Compare the gmtc to the older master ll and you will see how modern the gmtc looks and how beautiful the master ll ages..I don't own an older gmt but would like to someday..the current gmtc will be around for quite a while..I had the subc but sold it, the glidelock did not sway my decision to sell or keep, it was nice but not really that important to me as well as the lume..just my 2c...

The GMT IIc is an awesome watch - I agree with Puffy. For me it is the current flagship model for the SS sports range.
The polished centre links makes it ideal for both formal and casual wear. |

The GMT IIc was my first Rolex and I have been very happy with that decision. It is a true beauty and I love it. I have since, included a Exp II which gets equal wrist time but for me, it is still the GMT IIc over the Sub.

To me, the GMT IIc is a very nice piece, which I believe, will become a classic piece in time to come!

Stop second guessing and torturing yourself.
Do the deal before the next price hike ! Once it's on your wrist you'll be glad you did. |

A big thanks to all that have replied to this thread! Finding the right rolex for me has been a challenge as well, as I play multiple characters in real life: from the guy in the tie in the office, to the guy at the local bar or pub drinking whiskey in a t-shirt and jeans, to the guy laying by the pool in Miami surrounded by beautiful people. I need the watch for it all and I think the GMT-IIc is the one.

It's got Ceramic, that's the biggest upgrade in my eyes. I'm not too concerned with it not having the glidelock clasp. As for the lume, how many times will you really use that, and will the color make that much of a difference?
The GMT is awesome. I'm getting mine today or tomorrow, I hope!
