LV SUB faded insert?

i have just realized a week ago that the color of the insert of my LV sub isnt bright green anymore, it looks faded dark green some areas almost like brown.

i brought it to AD, the watchmaker also found it strange, he can order new green bezel but since its not covered with warranty anymore its gonna cost like 200eur, not 50eur like black bezel. dont know if i want to pay that much for a thin piece of metal, and it doesnt look too bad.

but the real question is, how can 3year old insert fade that fast, it didnt happen overnight. excessive UV light? i dont live in a sunny country, only occasion i think i wore it couple of times in tanning bed

its hard to capture the right color but you can notice the difference

in this pic look at the edge of insert between insert and crystal, you can see the original color.

any ideas?
