"Internally flawless" refers to 10x magnificaton.

There is no natural diamond absolutely without internal flaws, it all depends on the magnification that you are using.

Well if I read the original posters post correctly he stated in the picture with a crack at bottom of diamond and showing inclusions was at 10X magnification.

If I am reading the op correctly, the crack and spot where visible at 75x

The smalles pic should be 10x and the stone appears flawless there

Thanks guys. At 10X (grading magnification), the diamonds look great. There was just the crack on one of the diamonds...probably occurred when they set it. All diamonds were definitely at least VS1 quality. I don't doubt that they are VVS2 or VVS1.

The diamonds are tiny so I'm not sure if it's significant enough to notice. However, it good to know Rolex uses quality diamonds

Flawless and Internally Flawless diamonds are very extremely rare no matter the size so I am sure they are not IF diamonds.With VS1 diamonds all inclusion will be invisible when using a 10X magnification and these are almost as rare as IF diamonds.Now with VVSI and VVS2 diamonds expert graders might be able to spot inclusions with a 10X lupe or higher magnification now these are the types of diamonds Rolex uses.

I'm in the semiconductor industry. I can go 1000X, but that would be overkill for a diamond.

The pictures lowest mag pics are at 10X. These are the pics where you can see the entire field of view of the diamond. At 10X the diamonds look great (with the exception to the crack on the bottom). I'm not a diamond expert, but in my opinion, they are not IF. I can see a few tiny inclusions at 10x that you can't make out in the pics. The zoom shot of the inclusions are at 75X. There are no feathers (scratches) or clouds which tells me they are at minimum VS1.

In reality, I think diamond grading is very subjective. I would probably grade these VVS1 at best. But then again, what do I know....I'm sure we all agree that the watch is more important than the diamond

Well in the real world IF diamonds are almost as rare as rocking horse s##t so the amount of diamonds that Rolex use it must be a miracle.
