To take a beautiful watch and make it look like a plastic toy watch is something I just don't understand.

People are really doing that to Sky Dwellers? Are they also spray painting their Bentley's?

Pass on these examples. We have all seen many, many mods over the years. Some subtle and actually do not look too bad. Members have commented that some of the minute changes actually look like they could have come from Rolex that way - or even wish they did. Myself I prefer them just the way they come from the factory. (well I did change my clasp - but you wouldn't know it..)

Reading the article, they did "it" to a Patek as well but didn't imprint their brand name on the Patek.

There's a market for most anything and of course money does not equal taste or class so to each his/her own. For me, it cheapens the look of the watch. Me no likey.

I think some of them look great although I would never purchase one. I prefer mine all original.

You might as well put 'spinners' on a Rolls Royce and mudflaps and CB antennas on a Bentley.

I would wear that watch without a second thought. I would not do that to my own watch, but it's different, so I would wear it.

I know I'm in the distinct minority, but ...I like it, but only if I had multiple watches, and I wore it occasionally. I wouldn't do that to my only watch.

I've played around with the color tools on the Bamford website, and the combinations are pretty neat. Again, I wouldn't do that to my one and only Rolex, but if I were rich enough to have several, I could see giving it the treatment. Also, assuming the PVD doesn't scratch and look terrible after a few years, I think it is kind of a neat option.

I actually prefer the color mods to completely covering the watch's bezel, case, and bracelet in after-market diamonds.

I have seen some nice renditions on instagram, and some very similar to the purple that are just terrible.
