Not that that matters one bit…

There are a number of reasons I visit this site, but the biggest reason is simple…To share what I enjoy with people who enjoy the same thing…

I have only one close friend who is "into" watches…The rest of my friends and family have no interest what so ever…So here I am…

I also find it interesting that on the vast majority of "Posts", you get a less then 10% response rate…On many posts it's less then 5%…

I would guess that some people come here looking to have a specific question or questions answered, some come to have a value put on a watch they own, some come to buy and sell…

So I'm curious…Why are YOU here…???
I'm here also for the support and sharing provided by this site. I have literally 0 friends that share my interest in watches. Though the wife feigns interest, I know she probably couldn't care less.

I appreciate the International community here and the vast knowledge that comes from it more than I can express.

Happy Holidays all :)

My main reason is because this is one of the only places, where people understand the addiction.

I also love learning about watches in general.

Oh an the pictures are SWEET!!!

Originally came for education prior to my first Rolex purchase, and have stayed for the education and the banter...only a few fora have such open discussion! And from what I've learned here, we have set up a watch club and online discussion group! Thanks to all the collective wisdom here!

I originally came across this joint while researching a purchase I wanted to make. Found this to be the single best source for information about anything Rolex, including Rolex.com (not that that's saying much, lol!).

Ended up buying that watch here, and have stayed since because I like the crowd, enjoy the discussion and humor, and am still learning new stuff everyday.

And by the law of circular logic I probably won't be leaving anytime soon since you guys have now got me in a perpetual state of contemplating my next purchase, which is the reason I came here in the first place.

As Michael Corleone once said..."Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in."

+1 When I first got here I was interested in getting the best deal on a new or fairly new watch. I got my GV. Somewhere after that I found myself looking more at vintage. Then with enablers like Tempoking, Greekbum, Springer and the other vintage "Trusted Sellers", the articles, the WIS/s on TRF , I find myself learning more and more.

TRF is a peaceful place because of the elimination of trolls. It is nice to converse with fellow members without having to deal with the irritation of trolls and their twaddle. Thanks, Steve and Ken. I for one appreciate how zealous you and the other Moderators are in sending them to the "corn field", before they can create an unpleasant atmosphere.

I love vintage rolex watches. This place is an amazing place to learn and discuss our passion. Also I met some awesome honest people here that I met , ate with , and talk to more often than some family members. Still others I have not met in person but somehow felt comfortable enough to send thousands of thousands off to and magically a piece of rolex history shows up at my door in a box! It's all about the confidence in the folks here and the passion we enjoy that binds the community. Rich

Have really got into Rolex, particularly vintage Sports, and this forum is the ideal place in which to further develop that interest - it is the sort of place where you can literally learn something new every day suych is the wide level of knowledge and expertise on the forum. Fairly amazing facility!

Same here, I didn't know anyone to talk to about my passion for wristwatches.
I first came here for some information. I love the skilled photography of so many members on here (sadly, I am not as good at it!). Unexpectedly I made some good friends here too! The GTGs in London and Brussels took things even a bit further, as you can actually meet up and talk watches face to face. I've learned a lot thanks to you guys!
I am here to stay

At first I joined to be with others who share in the passion for mechanical watches. Now I'm here because it's nice to hangout w/ friends.

Like many I started coming to TRF for purely self serving purposes. I wanted advice, to buy or sell. I wanted to learn about the watches that I admire so much.

Now, after sometime I still do ask for some advise or try and sell something but it's more. I attempt to help others that I may be in a position to do so and contribute in a meaningful way.

for me - its about coming here & seeing\ enjoying watches that I'll in all probability i'll never own unless I win the lottery ;.)

Many of us lust after a DRSD or a comex sub but in real life few of us can turn it into reality but I still realise I'm lucky\ fortunate to own a box standard modern SD

A big thanks to the guys who let me enjoy\ share in the pleasure of your vintage watches on a daily basis. A well taken picture or post - goes a long way
