Nope, never misplaced my watch at home or elsewhere. I do misplace stuff, more frequently now that I'm old, but I'm careful with my most treasured possessions.

My wife has moved it on me and since I wake up earlier than she does I've freaked out a bit a couple times

I take it off and put it in the safe if I am not wearing it...I typically wear my watches 24/7.

Once I took my watch off my left wrist and put it on my right wrist. For a few seconds I totally forgot where I put it.

Yep. Sadly.

Yes. I lost a Sub at home in 1992 or so. The best I can determine is that I must have set it down on our couch and it got mixed in with newspapers and....gulp....thrown out. Needless to say, it was actually several days before I came to that conclusion and it was too late by then.

This was before you had to specifically list an item like that on your homeowner's policy and I simply provide a couple of pictures of me wearing that particular watch and two notarized statements from co-workers and the insurance company provided payment.

That was the last time I had an insurance claim on my homeowner's policy and I've never lost anything like that since.

I used to misplace my watches. That's why I invested in a watch box.

this will make you all laugh at me i was working on my motocross bike in the workshop, for some reason i decided to take my sub off, i put it on the outside window seal, as i was at the garage door and had no where else to put it.

finished doing what i had to with the bike and went back inside my home, that watch stayed there for 3 days before remembering where i put it down

lets say i didn't sleep very well until i was reunited with it.

I always keep it at the same place.
However, my dad has misplaced his once. He thought it was stolen by someone who came to clean the house or the plumber.

Anyway, the watch was 'found' a few months later... He just forgot where he hid it because he keeps on changing the place he hides it

A friend of mine bought a Milgauss at a really good price. The only problem was he didn't want his other half to find out about it. So he hides the watch somewhere and still can't find it.

I would bet his other half found it!

All the time, I should be better. But I ALWAYS know I take it off in the house, so if lost I know it is somewhere at home, just not sure where.

i am guilty. i am pretty bad at this. however, i am never worried because i know it's somewhere WITHIN the house (most of the time).

Let me guess it was the last place you looked.

Seriously, I never take my Rolex off, I'm old and can't remember where I parked my sled.

The cat was a bit mimmbly bimmbly and jumpy, I was trying to catch him to get my GMT back. But had to wait, so I just took a pic instead.
The story goes....my wife played a joke on my, because she knows how "loony" I am about my watches. She put it on him in the morning and went off to work, I wake up and my watch is gone from the night stand, I got a bit frazzled looking for it.......went down stairs and that's what I saw, that little stealer prancing around with my watch on....
I wear my watches to bed now.....
Here's a proper Pointing Photo........notice the guilty look He has.
