After the rush and excitement of the day, I'm getting a major turnoff to this model.

I mean, who hasn't wanted this red/blue GMT? And for Rolex to make it an extremely expensive model only accessible to very few is a slap in the face to Rolex lovers.

Precisely love for gold and platinum and that is my Rolex focus now.

And for this who hold out hope for a SS BLRO...It will never happened as that isn't how Rolex does things. The WG Sub is the blue bezel Sub and nor going to be shared with SS Sub. The BLNR is the dual color bezel for SS GMT and the BLRO for WG.

I love it. Everything I wanted (well I sort of wanted Platinum but I understand...). I have always preferred WG to YG and RG so I'm happy. Also happy to see the red gmt hand. Very happy the datewheel isn't red (like some photoshop jobs I saw pre-basel).

Looks like some of the teaser photos ended up being right after all these years. I've been wanting this since 2005 haha.

On all the website pics the blue is darker than all the website BLNR pics, looks duller and more navy. So far I prefer the more vibrant BLNR blue.

I quite like this watch and the fact that it comes in white gold, I don't know why but this detail makes the watch very special to me (seems to be the equivalent of the white gold Submariner for the GMT's).

It's a beauty but making it in WG has made it unattainable to a lot of buyers who would have purchased it had it been done in SS. Maybe next year a coke model will be done in SS. I always preferred the coke model over the pepsi anyway.

That's exactly where it will be. The GMT has always been positioned just below the Sub Date, so expect to see a list price just slightly less than the WG Sub..

I love it, but I don't know if I can justify a 4th GMT to go with my 16710, 718, and BLNR. WG is my least favorite metal; I wish it had been SS. I still like it, I just don't think it will be worth the asking price for me.

Will never be able to purchase it unfortunately, way to much money for a normal employee like me. It will remain another toy for the wealthiest, it seems that Rolex preferred this way. I suppose they ran their marketing analysis and decided that this was the best for them.

Stunning watch that MANY have been waiting for. The whitegold is really a let down though, I'd never buy one. I would spend that amount of money on a gilt instead!

I disagree. IMO, the many who have been wanting this are on TRF. The masses of asses out there who buy Rolex without giving a tinker's cuss about the backstory etc. of the SS Pepsi will plop their money down for other models... The wealthy WIS and the occasional brave know-nothing might fancy the red / blue and buy it.

Agreed, Speed. What used to be part of the Rolex heritage for all lovers of Rolex has become a very expensive bauble for the very select. It's just a piece of jewelry now (I mean, how many pilots out there are going to be wearing this to work?), and, IMHO, has nothing to do with the Pepsis of old.

But, yes, it is a very pretty watch, and the bezel insert technology is pretty impressive. Those that will own are in for a treat, and that's great. My issue is with Rolex the company and how they view this model as a cash grab, pure and simple.
