They did a fantastic job, those chamfers are truly gorgeous. Is is true that they now own a new numeric buffing machine that allows such a precision work?
Did they just make a polishing/buffing work on the watch or was there some laser welding involved as well, to add a bit of steel? Anyway, amazing visual improvement, the watch deserves it, congrats. |

This thread should be dedicated to the guy requesting for help about his 5513 on the vintage sub forum. Very impressive work, it simply looks like another watch. Magnificent outcome.

Holy cow! Incredible.
Seeing that makes me think one can enlarge one's scope when looking to buy. I mean, it's as if ABC created a new watch from a poor blob of an example. Thanks for the pix, Q. |

Yeah; look at the coronet (crown logo) on the dial; doesn't that look like him..?

I guess the key is to have only a poor polish / but nearly all the metal on the lugs. Otherwise bevels on a skinny lug watch would look terrible.

This is why so many people avoid unnecessary polishing; once the metal has been removed it is gone...

Hands are not so bad to replace. A dial on a rare watch, that's a pain in the tuchis to replace....
